Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Yujana (joinyujana.com), a project published by its founder, Oumaima El Hourri ("Yujana", "we"), who can be contacted at namaste@joinyujana.com By creating an account or using Yujana, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Yujana

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You agree to give accurate information about yourself or your organization, including your profile type (teacher, studio, school or student) and your years of practice, teaching or activity.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what happens on your account. Tell us at namaste@joinyujana.com if you think someone else is using it.

3. Community guidelines

Yujana is a safe space. When you post, you agree to:

• be respectful and kind, whatever someone's level, background or experience;
• share from your own experience, and never present your advice as medical advice;
• not post hateful, harassing, sexual, violent or discriminatory content;
• not post spam, advertising or self-promotion outside your own profile and calendar;
• not impersonate anyone or misrepresent your qualifications;
• not share other people's personal information.

You can choose to show only your first name and the initial of your last name on your questions and answers, and to hide your photo on a question. Your full name stays visible on your profile, Yujana still knows who you are, and these guidelines still apply.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post (questions, answers, profile, photo, calendar). You give Yujana a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display and organize this content on Yujana, including in search results and summaries of answers, for as long as it stays on the platform. You confirm you have the right to post it.

5. Moderation

Questions are reviewed before they are published. We may edit a question's wording or category for clarity, refuse it, or remove any content that breaks these Terms. We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaks them. You can report content to namaste@joinyujana.com

6. Health and safety

Yoga involves physical effort and a risk of injury. Content on Yujana, including answers from teachers and summaries generated from community answers, is shared for information only. It is not medical advice and does not replace a qualified teacher, doctor or physiotherapist. Listen to your body and consult a health professional before starting or changing your practice, especially if you are pregnant, injured or have a medical condition. You practice at your own risk.

7. Teachers, studios, schools and events

Teachers, studios and schools are responsible for the accuracy of their profile, qualifications, calendar and events, and for their own insurance. Yujana is not a party to any booking, payment or agreement between them and students. When you click "I'm interested" on an event, your email is shared with its organizer so they can contact you.

8. Example profiles

Some profiles and events are examples created to show how Yujana works. They are clearly labelled "Demo" on their profile.

9. Beta

Yujana is in beta. Features may change, be interrupted or contain errors. We do our best to keep it running and to protect your data, but we provide it "as is".

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Yujana is not liable for content posted by members, for injuries related to practicing yoga, or for events organized by teachers, studios or schools. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable law.

11. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from your settings or by writing to us. Your questions and answers may stay visible without your name, so that threads remain useful to others.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will tell you about important changes by email or on the site before they apply.
